In case you don't know DNS in domain name system. It is basically phone directory of internet. It take request from the client or user and pull information from the requested server.
Very few users understand how big difference can DNS server make, it unblock sites and content, prevent exposing of user identity and making internet more private.
Some DNS server are best for speed, some are known for their privacy and some are general based. You can simply search about DNS servers and can choose which one is best suited to you.
Now, there are two ways to change your DNS server in Windows 10-first one is using software(Which I will discuss in another article) and second one is by changing configuration in control panel which we will discuss here
Here are steps that you can follow
open control panel
2. Now open Network and Sharing Center
3. Select option Change adapter settings from left pane of the windows
4. Now select your Wi-Fi adapter and right-click on it
5. From the drop down menu select properties
6. Now from the opened dialogue box select Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPv4) and click on Properties
7. Now Select the second option "Use the following DNS server addresses" and fill the address.
That's it your DNS server is changed. But some times you also need to change DNS sever for IPv6. For that process is again very simple. Just select Internet Protocol Version 6(TCP/IPv6) and change the DNS address.
